NO SECOND CHANCES AT NORTH MECK HIGH

Monday, May 15, 2017  This morning we partnered once again with Huntersville Police Department as they conducted a 'No Second Chances' Prom safety presentation (along with a mock car accident) at North Meck High School.

     



 

FATAL MVA ON I485

Sunday, May 14, 2017  ALERT: I485 Inner Loop at I77 is closed following a serious MVA involving a fatality. The road will remain closed for some time this morning as we assist NCSHP with their investigation. Avoid the area; look for Police direction / detour.
UPDATE: Roadway reopened at 5:21am All fire department assists are headed home (on scene time 3hrs).

MVA ON BFR

Friday, May 12, 2017  Station 2 responded to an MVA this morning on Beatties Ford Rd near Catawba Chase Dr. One patient refused treatment. Vehicle left the roadway and traveled over 2 trees before coming to a stop at the third tree.

STATIONS 1, 2 RESPOND TO BIRKDALE

Saturday, February 11, 2017  Stations 1, 2 responded to a working fire at 16916 Birkdale Commons Pkwy: The Corkscrew Wine Bar. Engine 2 arrived with heavy smoke showing from the bar. The fire was held to the appliance of origin (a wine chiller) and extinguished by E2 crew on arrival. Ladder and Engine 1 arrived and assisted with ventilation.

One employee was treated, on scene, by Medic following a fall during the incident (patient refused transport). Corkscrew Wine was closed, temporarily, for cleanup‬.

STATIONS 1, 2 ON A VEHICLE FIRE

Sunday, February 5, 2017  Earlier this evening Stations 1, 2 responded to a Vehicle Fire on Gilead Rd at the I77NB off-ramp. Crews encountered a pick up truck, heavily involved in fire, carrying cleaning chemicals in the bed. Charlotte Fire Department also responded including one of their hazmat companies. Fortunately no chemicals leaked and no hazards were found. Crews are wrapping up now.
