Engine 2 carries equipment for firefighting, vehicle extrication, salvage and overhaul. Engine 2 was the Gilead Engine 2 before the merger of HFD and Gilead Fire Rescue in 2010.

Rescue 1

Rescue 1 is a NC Association of Rescue and EMS certified Heavy Rescue unit. It carries equipment for Extrication, Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Firefighting and land search. It also has a 4-bottle cascade system and night scan light tower. It responds to all motor vehicle collisions and rescue emergencies in the Station 2 area.

Fireboat 1

 
 
  • 1996 Boston Whaler Fire Rescue Boat

Fireboat 1 was the first Fire Boat on Lake Norman. It responds to all area lakes for fire suppression and water rescue emergencies. It is equipped with a 500 GPM Fire Pump, Deck Gun, Multiple 2 ½ Discharges, Medical Equipment and an inline foam nozzle.
